Alkali Scientific ASI™ Media storage bottle, 500mL with standard (GL45) Purple Cap, 10/cs
Hybex reusable glass media bottles are manufactured from high quality, borosilicate 3.3 glass. With their superior chemical resistance, these bottles are ideal for storage of reagents, culture media, biological fluids and a variety of other aqueous and nonaqueous solutions. A low coefficient of thermal expansion (3.3), provides temperature resistance that is far superior to that of standard lab glass (or soda lime glass). Hybex glass can withstand temperatures from -70 to 500°C, permitting repeated use in freezers, microwaves, autoclaves and dry heat sterilization chambers. All hybex media bottles include a drip-free sealing ring as well as a standard blue polypropylene (GL45) sealing cap. Ten per pack.

Our self standing transport tubes — often referred to as mailing tubes or transport vials—are made of virgin polypropylene and are supplied with 1¼ turn screw caps attached. These tubes are certified to be leak proof and 95kPa compliant and are now available with FreezeTech™ Temperature Indicator. With FreezeTech™, each tube features a temperature indicator patch that starts turning blue at 4°C and becomes dark blue when the tube (and its contents) reach 0°C. The indicator patch returns to its original transparent grey color as the sample temperature approaches 4°C and above.
